Last time I saw this sign, I was in high school. We were in Colorado Springs the summer before my Sophomore year. We stopped at this park for lunch and were told not to go far. Well, one guy said, come on, let’s go hike and explore. I’M IN! We hiked up and had to go through this stream. We took off our shoes and socks and crossed the creek. The views were worth it all. Amazing. I have loved hiking since a very young age. We started to head back. Crossed the creek again and…ouch! I had caught a sharp rock and cut my foot. It was bleeding pretty good. AJ ripped a piece of his t-shirt and said “here.” 😜So I took it and created a bandage for my foot, put my socks and shoes back on and hobbled back to the bus. I don’t know how I made it through that trip and back home with that cut on my foot, but I did. No infection or long term effects, except the scar. 😁 I don’t have any tattoos, but I have many scares of adventures in my younger days. Most, doing something I was told not to do. What a trip hiking back through the same area this week. #adventurer #ilovehiking #imagesbycheri #hellofreedom #coloradosprings #travelphotography #travelphotographer #worthit #ilovemylife
