Los Algodones is our favorite Mexican border town. Our regular dentist is in this US friendly medical centered town. It also makes it interesting when Brett chipped his tooth during a pandemic. We weren’t sure exactly what it would be like across the border but went equipped with our N95 masks and even face shields, just in case. Our dentist is wonderful and we have been going to her for 5 year after a recommendation from another RVer. We like her and the facilities better than any dentist we ever went to in Orange County. The border crossing at Los Algodones now closes at 2 pm rather than 10 pm coming back into California so we made our appointments for first thing in the morning. We figured it would be rather slow down there, however, we were surprised how ghost town like it was. Most restaurants were closed and not even half of the street venders were set up like we normally see. There was no one in line to come back across to the US like normal and even some of the locals we got to know like one of the techs at the eye clinic no longer are working there because business is down so much. This pandemic has effected so many people in so many ways we might not even realize. Hope this little town bounces back soon. #boardertown #losalgodones #mexico #imagesbycheri #hellofreedom #travelphotographer #travelphotography #ilovemylife
