This is where things all began in January 2009. We were living in SoCal and came out to Mesa, AZ for a week in a condo. When I asked what to do in the area, they suggested hiking the Superstition Mountains. WOW! We had so many life changing moments on that hike.
First we decided we LOVED hiking and we needed to do more of this. It was so much fun and beautiful. What a wonderful way to get exercise, and it also told us we needed to get more exercise! We learned this as an 80 year old man hiked up the trail, and then back down the trail passing us both ways. We decided to buy hiking boots when we got home.
Second, I was busy taking pictures during that hike with my phone. I decided if I was going to more hiking, I wanted a small good compact camera. I decided to ask my photographer friend, Tashia, when I got home, which camera she would recommend.
Lastly, as we got to the top of our hike and looked down, our eyes eventually turned down to the RVs parked at the base of the mountain looking up. Brett was intrigued. I had camped a bunch and would love to do that again. We decided to start looking at campers when we got home.
Back in Apache Junction, looking up at those magical Superstition Mountains, I am so thankful for 11 marvelous years of some the most amazing hiking all over the country.
I am also loving taking photos of those wonderful hikes, and so many other things we have seen…in the 6 years we have been living on the road as full time RVers. This lifestyle has been everything we could have hoped for, and so so much more than we ever could have dreamed it would be. . #rvlife #travelphotpgrapher #ilovehiking #superstitionmountains #imagesbycheri #hellofreedom #lostdutchmanstatepark #fulltimervers #arizona #ilovemylife
