The California Redwood. An icon of strength, stability and sturdiness.

Known as the tallest trees in the world, the Redwoods in California’s Redwood National Park tower over a vast woodland that contains prairies, wild rivers, and 40 miles of rugged coastline.

Hikers generally enjoy visiting this park to be amazed at the large redwoods, but ever so often you’ll also find a few tree climbers looking to scale some of the Redwoods in the area.

Animal lovers are also going to get a treat here, as there is plenty of wildlife to take photos of.

This state park is most known for the aptly named Avenue of the Giants, a scenic highway that includes three redwood trees you can actually drive through.

Everywhere you turn, you’re going to be amazed at the sights of these GIANTS!.

Photographers, like me, love coming here because no matter how many times you come back, there’s always a new shot to take!

Visiting this wonderful park reminds us of that natural beauty that we should take time to see every once in a while. If you have time for one scenic drive, make it this one!
