Oh, Old and Faithful you are indeed!
Brett and I have visited Yellowstone National Park a couple of times already but every new visit brings new wonders!
Take this shot of the Grand Prismatic Spring. Known to be the largest hot spring in the country, this prism-like water formation (hence the name) was one of the highlights of our trip to Yellowstone.
You can just see how tiny the people and the trees are compared to the huge pool of hot water!
As for the multiple colors of the spring, this is a result of the microbes that inhabit the edges of its mineral-rich waters, and depending on the ratio of chlorophyll to carotenoids the colors may change from time to time.
As you move from the edge to the center, the color changes to blue because of the depth of the spring in the middle.
Indeed, even just staring at the beautiful colors mesmerize you because of how they change if you are attentive enough.
This is one amazing sight, that if you have been to Yellowstone National Park, you may have witnessed for yourself.
Remember some of the magic of Yellowstone by hanging this gorgeous print in your home of office!
