We often get asked, “What is your favorite place to visit?” Our answer talks about some cool places, however, what we always say in the end is that it is about the people we meet, not the places we see along our journey.
We just left a friend we met on this journey, who invited us to park our motorhome on his property. We took him up on it, several times over now. The first time we spent just 3 days, every visit was just a little longer. We just ended a 5 week stay, and even thought we were more than ready to hit the road, we are still sad to have the sun set on this chapter.
We enjoyed countless hours, laughs, conversations (until way too late), food and drinks on his front porch watching the #bigsky light up with a show every night.
We floated on the river a time or two, BBQed together, watched movies, saw fireworks the night of the 4th, had bonfires, went on a boat cruise, shared our lives, and deepened friendships.
We used our friend’s hospitality to tent camp in Yellowstone twice, attend a 3 day music festival, get “life” stuff done (i.e. Dr. Appointments, haircuts, stocking up at Costco…), and WORK!
Yes, it was a wonderful adventurous stay this year!
CHEERS to FRIENDS! You really are the best placed we have visited!
